Role Summary
The Billing & Estimation Engineer – Site (Intern) will support the project team in quantity take-offs, site measurements, and preparation of running and final bills for clients and subcontractors. You will help establish robust measurement and documentation processes at site, enabling better cost control and reduction of rework and billing disputes. This role is ideal for a civil engineering fresher who wants strong exposure to both site execution and commercial/billing aspects of EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Take joint measurements at site for RCC, structural, finishing, and external development works, and prepare detailed measurement sheets in MS Excel.<br />- Assist in preparing and updating BOQs, abstract sheets, and basic cost comparisons based on drawings, site conditions, and contract documents.<br />- Support preparation of client and subcontractor running bills, ensuring alignment with approved BOQ items, specifications, and measurement norms.<br />- Coordinate with site engineers, planning, and stores teams to reconcile quantities, materials, and work done, helping identify deviations and potential cost impacts.<br />- Maintain accurate documentation including measurement books, supporting records, drawings used for billing, and approval notes for variations/extra items.<br />- Liaise with consultants and client representatives during joint measurements, bill submissions, and clarifications, ensuring timely certification of bills.<br />- Contribute to setting up and following standard processes for measurement, billing, and reporting that support quality, safety, and cost control objectives.
