Billing Engineer- Interior Fit-Out

Role Summary
The Billing Engineer – Interior Fit-Out will be responsible for end-to-end quantity measurement, billing, and cost tracking for commercial retail interior projects in Pune. This role ensures accurate BOQs, timely RA and final bills, and proper subcontractor billing to protect margins and cash flow. You will be a key link between site execution, commercial control, and client billing, helping to minimize rework, plug leakages, and standardize billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs from GFC/IFC architectural, interior, and basic MEP drawings for interior works including civil, partitions, flooring, false ceilings, carpentry, and related items.<br />- Prepare and verify RA bills, final bills, and subcontractor bills with complete measurement sheets, abstracts, supporting documents, and reconciliation statements.<br />- Coordinate with site engineers, planning, and procurement teams to validate executed quantities, variations, and extra items, ensuring alignment with site progress and contract terms.<br />- Maintain and update billing formats, cost tracking sheets, and quantity registers in MS Excel, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and version control.<br />- Support cost control by monitoring budget vs actual quantities and values, highlighting deviations, potential overruns, and opportunities for savings to the project manager.<br />- Assist in rate analysis, item rate contract interpretation, and material/quantity reconciliation for interior works to ensure commercial compliance and minimize disputes.<br />- Liaise with client representatives, architects, and consultants for joint measurements, bill clarifications, and timely certification, while ensuring adherence to quality and documentation standards.
