Role Summary
The Billing Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end billing and quantity management for high-rise residential projects, ensuring accurate measurement, certification, and documentation of all executed works. This role directly supports cost control, cash flow, and contract compliance by aligning RA bills and subcontractor bills with BOQ, drawings, and site execution. You will play a key role in minimizing disputes, reducing rework, and setting up robust billing and measurement processes at site.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and finalize RA bills, subcontractor bills, and client bills in line with contract BOQ, approved drawings, and site execution for high-rise residential towers.<br />- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and measurements for RCC, formwork, reinforcement, masonry, plaster, flooring, and finishing items from drawings and site measurements, ensuring accuracy and traceability.<br />- Conduct joint measurements with client/PMC and site teams, maintain proper measurement books/records, and ensure timely certification and documentation.<br />- Reconcile quantities between GFC drawings, revisions, site execution, and bills; identify discrepancies and coordinate with site, planning, and procurement teams to resolve them.<br />- Support rate analysis, variation/deviation items, and extra item billing in line with contract clauses and company policies, including preparation of supporting documents.<br />- Coordinate with planning for alignment of RA bills with project schedule and cash flow, and with accounts/commercial for taxation, GST components, and statutory billing requirements (where applicable).<br />- Contribute to setting up and improving site billing processes, formats, and controls to support cost control, reduce rework/quality issues, and ensure compliance with internal and client standards.
Education & Specialization
**Required education:** B.E./B.Tech or Diploma or B.Arch
