Role Summary

This role involves leading the development of architectural designs for industrial projects from concept through detailed construction documentation. The position focuses on coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure technically sound, compliant, and efficient design solutions. The architect will oversee design quality, documentation standards, and contribute to value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

<ul><li><strong>Design Development</strong>: Develop architectural concepts into schematic, preliminary, and detailed working designs for industrial projects.</li><li><strong>Preparation of Architectural Documentation</strong>: Prepare and review architectural drawings, construction documents, and detailed working drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.</li><li><strong>Stakeholder Coordination</strong>: Coordinate effectively with clients, external consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams throughout all project phases.</li><li><strong>Multidisciplinary Design Coordination</strong>: Lead coordination with HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, and other building services to ensure integrated design solutions.</li><li><strong>Regulatory Compliance</strong>: Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, local regulations, and project-specific standards.</li><li><strong>Design Reviews and Technical Discussions</strong>: Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings to resolve design issues.</li><li><strong>Tender and BOQ Support</strong>: Assist in the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities, technical specifications, and tender documentation.</li><li><strong>Quantity Take-offs and Material Estimation</strong>: Support quantity take-offs and material estimations based on architectural drawings.</li><li><strong>Design Quality Monitoring</strong>: Monitor design quality and maintain project documentation standards throughout project execution.</li><li><strong>Value Engineering and Design Optimization</strong>: Contribute to value engineering initiatives and optimize design solutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.</li></ul>

Project Requirements

<ul><li><strong>Education</strong>: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) from a recognized institution; a Master's Degree in Architecture (M.Arch.) is desirable but not mandatory.</li><li><strong>Professional Experience</strong>: Minimum 8 years of professional architectural experience, preferably on industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or factory projects.</li><li><strong>Technical Knowledge</strong>: Strong understanding of construction detailing, building systems, and interdisciplinary coordination for complex projects.</li><li><strong>Software Proficiency</strong>: Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with working knowledge of Revit preferred.</li><li><strong>BOQ and Estimation Skills</strong>: Familiarity with BOQ preparation, specifications, and quantity take-offs for architectural works.</li><li><strong>Regulatory Knowledge</strong>: Good understanding of local development regulations, building by-laws, and statutory approval processes.</li><li><strong>Communication and Coordination Skills</strong>: Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.</li><li><strong>Team Collaboration</strong>: Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with various project participants.</li></ul>
