Role Summary
The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day site execution of RCC and finishing works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule. You will ensure that work is planned, resourced, and executed safely with the required quality standards and accurate measurements. Your role will directly impact site stability, reduction of rework, and timely completion of key project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute civil works (RCC, foundations, industrial flooring, masonry, plaster, PEB interfaces, external development) strictly as per GFC drawings, technical specifications, and method statements.<br />- Plan and monitor daily work fronts, allocate labour and machinery, and supervise contractors/subcontractors to achieve targeted progress.<br />- Check line, level, and dimensions using Total Station/Auto level; verify reinforcement, formwork, and concrete quality as per IS codes and approved checklists.<br />- Coordinate with client/PMC/consultants for inspections, RFI clearances, and resolution of site issues, ensuring proper documentation.<br />- Prepare and verify daily progress reports, DPRs, measurements, and basic quantity calculations to support billing and planning teams.<br />- Implement basic safety practices at site in line with method statements and JSA, and ensure housekeeping and compliance with site safety rules.<br />- Support the project team in tracking materials, highlighting constraints, and contributing to short-term look-ahead planning to avoid delays and rework.
