* Develop site layouts, grading plans, drainage designs, and erosion control measures for solar PV projects. * Perform earthwork calculations, cut/fill analysis, and quantity takeoffs. * Design access roads, foundations, and other civil infrastructure. * Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for design. * Prepare and review civil design drawings and specifications. * Structural Design: * Design and analyse structural components for solar mounting systems, including fixed-tilt and tracker systems. * Perform structural calculations for foundations, piers, beams, and racking systems, considering wind loads, seismic loads, and other environmental factors. * Select appropriate materials and structural components based on project requirements and cost considerations. * Evaluate and optimize structural designs for constructability and cost-effectiveness. * Prepare and review structural design drawings and specifications. * Geotechnical Analysis: * Review and interpret geotechnical reports to determine soil properties and bearing capacities. * Design foundation systems based on soil conditions and structural loads. * Provide recommendations for ground improvement techniques, if necessary. * Compliance and Standards: * Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, industry standards (ASCE, IBC, AISC), and project specifications. * Stay updated on the latest advancements in civil and structural engineering for solar applications. * Perform quality control checks on design documents and construction drawings. * Project Collaboration: * Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
