About
I’m Akash Chakraborty, a civil design engineer working at DCPL, Kolkata. I completed my B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology in 2024 and have been involved in design work for projects under TNPL, Konkan Chemicals, and ITC. My experience includes designing boiler house foundations, ESP foundations, and ESP MCC buildings. I work with STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and Excel for analysis, drafting, and reporting. I enjoy solving structural problems, optimising designs, and applying relevant codes with clarity. Along with design tasks, I also handle client outreach for major paper mills, which has helped me understand project needs from a business and technical perspective. I’m focused on improving my skills in steel and concrete design, wind load calculation, and overall project coordination. I’m looking for opportunities where I can contribute to a strong engineering team, learn from experienced mentors, and take on more responsibility in structural design.
