Concrete Quality Control - field note 074

On the Delhi bypass project, we poured 200 m3 of concrete for the 120 m long overpass. Vendor CEMC India delivered the mix on 12‑June‑2024. Concrete compressive strength averaged 32 MPa at 28 days, exceeding the required 30 MPa.

Lessons learned:
- Pre‑mix testing in the site lab reduced mix variations.
- Using a calibrated vibrator improved consolidation by 15%.
- Implementing a real‑time slump monitoring schedule prevented cold joints.
